Worked with the Global Customer Operations product team to drive the experience for the customer support platform tools. I was responsible for the design of an access management and the virtual agent configuration tool for the customer support platform. Working closely with PM, and Dev to internally launch a v1 of this new platform tool.   

Principal User Experience Designer

Sears Home Services, Seattle, WA

6/2015 – 7/2018

Responsible for improving the user experience for the Sears Parts Direct website. Initial contributions included bringing some much-needed user experience processes within the product team, such as user testing, wire-framing, and visual mockups. I worked across multi-functional product teams of design, development, and analytics to identify areas of opportunity, create solutions to improve conversion, and measure success through A/B and multi-variate testing along with qualitative usability. The end result was a redesign that increased conversion in multiple areas.

Responsible for improving the user experience on the Scout.com website. Helped to bring important user experience process to the product team, utilizing user research, wire-framing, and visual mockups. I collaborated with executives, product, and dev team to improve the Scout platform for publishers. Discovery & Navigation Design Team: Helped customers discover products more easily. Communities Team UX Lead:  Enabled customers to make more informed purchase decisions. Responsible for designing many features for Amazon.com across multiple platforms, including desktop and mobile Web, and native device OS apps (Apple, Android, Kindle). I collaborated closely with user research, product, and dev teams, creating concepts and iterating in multiple prototype formats, to create highly customer-centric products. Some of the projects I was responsible for included customer review quotes, redesigned customer reviews on the detail pages, and enhancing the customer review submissions experience.

Responsible for user experience on Events and Communication verticals for the social media website. I worked with product managers to design the mobile application called Local Concerts, for the iPhone, Android, and Win 7. Created high level and detailed storyboards and prototypes to convey interaction and design concepts. I collaborated with vertical owners, developers, and the core UX team to integrate multiple projects into the overall system, including the design of a new version of the popular events mobile application.

Designed the user experience for the Attenex Patterns E-discovery software. Teamed with product owner to identify the user needs. Designed efficient user workflows to process, review, and produce documents for litigation. Other accomplishments: wrote use cases, created user task flows, established internal design processes, created a product UX guideline, and contributed visual design direction.

Designed the user experience for many Live Search verticals, including Web, Product, Academic, Book, News, and more. Translated requirements and vision into highly functional interaction design. Worked closely with user experience and feature team members at both the feature and global levels. Developed HTML prototypes, established internal design processes, and created sample CSS and visual explorations for interfaces.
MSN Money website and Microsoft Money product

1/2001 – 3/2005
Designed the user experience at a feature level for the Microsoft Money products. Worked closely with feature team members including usability, UA, and other designers to deliver on product goals. Art direction of image & icon use for Money products. Also developed HTML & Flash prototypes and managed and maintained UI relationship with the editorial team.
